COACHING OPTIONS · YEAR 11 & 12 · METHODS & SPECIALIST
Three levels of structured mathematics coaching, designed around the student’s goals, assessment pressure and level of support required.
Quink Lab works with capable students studying Mathematical Methods and Specialist Mathematics. Every option is built on the same coaching foundation: structured thinking, solution communication, exam strategy and performance under pressure.
The difference between the options is the level of access, feedback and support available between sessions.

CHOOSING A COACHING OPTION
Some students need a clear weekly structure and expert coaching to keep their thinking precise.
Others need more regular feedback as assessments approach.
A small number of high-achieving students need a more intensive level of guidance because their target result demands stronger exam strategy, sharper communication and more frequent clarification between sessions.
The Coaching Fit Call helps determine which option is most appropriate.
THE OPTIONS
Structured weekly coaching for capable students who need clarity, direction and consistency.
Core Coaching is designed for students who want expert weekly support through their current Mathematical Methods or Specialist Mathematics unit.
It suits students who are motivated and capable, but need a clearer process for study, problem-solving and exam preparation.
Best suited to students who:
Includes:
A higher-support option for students preparing for important assessments or aiming for stronger ATAR performance.
Performance Coaching is designed for students who need more than weekly direction. It suits students who are approaching major internal assessments, external exam preparation, or a period where they need sharper feedback and more structured accountability.
This is the option most families should consider if the student understands the content but continues to lose marks through exam technique, poor solution structure or inconsistent performance under pressure.
Best suited to students who:
Includes everything in Core Coaching, plus:
Intensive coaching for high-achieving students aiming for exceptional results in Methods, Specialist or ATAR preparation.
Elite Coaching is designed for students who are already performing well but want to move from strong to exceptional. These students are often targeting competitive university pathways and need a high level of precision in their mathematical thinking, exam strategy and solution communication.
This option provides the highest level of access and support available within Quink Lab’s selective coaching model.
Best suited to students who:
Includes everything in Performance Coaching, plus:
AT A GLANCE
The Coaching Fit Call helps determine which option is the best fit.
Quink Lab does not place students into a higher-support option unless the additional access is genuinely useful.
FIT GUIDE
Your child is capable, motivated and needs consistent weekly structure. They benefit from clear direction, but can complete most independent work without frequent clarification.
Your child understands the content but loses marks in assessments through rushed working, unclear communication, weak exam strategy or inconsistent performance. This is often the best fit during important assessment terms.
Your child is already performing strongly and wants a more intensive level of guidance to target exceptional Methods, Specialist or ATAR outcomes. This option is best for students who are highly motivated and ready to engage deeply.
INCLUDED IN EVERY OPTION
Every Quink Lab coaching option includes the same performance-focused foundation.
Students receive:
The level of access and feedback increases across the options, but the standard of coaching remains the same.
LEVELS OF SUPPORT
All Quink Lab students work directly with Chris.
There are no junior tutors, group classes or outsourced sessions.
The difference between Core, Performance and Elite Coaching is the amount of additional support available around the weekly session.
Core Coaching provides a clear weekly coaching rhythm.
Performance Coaching adds more support around assessment preparation and solution communication.
Elite Coaching provides the highest level of access for students targeting exceptional outcomes.
This structure allows families to choose the level of support that matches the student’s goals without compromising the standard of coaching.
PRICING AND AVAILABILITY
Quink Lab is selective and works with a maximum of four students at any one time.
Because the coaching options provide different levels of access, pricing is discussed after the application and Coaching Fit Call. This allows Chris to understand the student’s subject, current level, assessment timeline and goals before recommending an option.
The goal is not to place every student into the highest level of support.
The goal is to recommend the level of coaching that makes sense for the student.
If Quink Lab is not the right fit, Chris will say so.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
The best option depends on the student’s current performance, assessment timeline, subject load and goals. The Coaching Fit Call is designed to recommend the level of support that is genuinely appropriate.
For many Year 12 students, Performance Coaching is likely to be the most appropriate option because it provides stronger assessment preparation and more support around exam technique and solution communication. However, the recommendation depends on the student.
Not necessarily. Elite Coaching is for students who need the highest level of support and are ready to engage deeply with the process. Many will be aiming for very high ATAR outcomes, but the deciding factor is fit, not a single number.
No. Each option is designed to provide consistent support across the full unit, rather than increasing support only around assessment time. This helps coaching build steadily across the unit, rather than becoming reactive just before assessment.
Sessions are delivered online through live one-on-one coaching. This allows students to work with Chris using a shared digital workspace, saved notes and clear weekly direction.
Yes. Quink Lab supports students studying Mathematical Methods and Specialist Mathematics, with coaching aligned to the QCAA curriculum and the student’s current school program.
Pricing depends on the level of access and support required. Because Quink Lab is selective and works with a small number of students, pricing is discussed after the application and Coaching Fit Call.
